Workshops are vehicles for introducing and practicing the Dhamma in short but intensive sessions. GDC offers regular workshops in the following subjects:

  • Metta (Lovingkindness)

  • Karuna (Compassion)

  • Brahmavihara (Lovingkindness, compassion, sympathetic/empathetic joy, and equanimity)

  • Harmlessness (Moral conduct)

  • Akkodha (Non-anger)

  • Sutta studies (The Buddha's discourses)

Session on offer run 2, 2.5, or 3-hours long. These are always on weekends. Workshops are designed to be groups of no more than six students where discussions and questions are encouraged.

At present, workshops are offered in Australia only. The same workshop subject is usually available during a Sunday morning and a Sunday late afternoon-evening session. Due to limited spaces, students are asked to sign up for one of the sessions on any given day.
