Courses

The Buddha taught that a practitioner's development is akin to the tide, taking place gradually over time. As practitioners in the modern world, we're conditioned to seek instantaneous results and although when the Dhamma is applied correctly does yield very fast results, the bulk of the time on the path is taken up by learning how to practice.

For this reason, GDC offers courses, often month long, in order to either introduce or to deepen, broaden, and strengthen practices. The courses usually require two evenings a week and involve instructions of studying and practicing throughout the week and for the duration of the course.

Courses cover subjects such as breath mindfulness & meditation, lovingkindness mindfulness & meditation, the heart of the Dhamma (the Buddha's fundamental teachings), the graduated path to Akkodha (non-anger), and harmlessness practice (moral conduct).
